The TF2 vs Vanilla FPS article was really interesting. But TF2 was designed to be different from the start. The range for roles and the style makes it a completely different experience from say COD4.

The Total Annihilation sound track was fucking awesome! Me and a mate used to hum it during lessons at school and we still mention it to each other now! Big Berthas were awesome btw.

KOTOR 1&2 are both epic games. A fantastic example of how you can do a licensed game.
